GOVERNOR FAYEMI AT 56!

GOVERNOR FAYEMI AT 56!
What do I have to say about my Boss and Role Model?
Governor Fayemi is a true visionary leader and mentor who inspires me greatly.
My professional relationship with Governor Fayemi started since my working days at the UK Department for International Development (UKAID). We were supporting Ekiti State on a Strategic intervention initiative in the areas of Governance, Capacity Building and Development of Private Sector Development Strategy.
Ekiti was home for our Team anytime we visited. His connection and support for the team and the project was A-Grade.
Dr Fayemi is cerebral, versatile, well grounded and rich in knowledge. He showed respect to every member of the team and was appreciative of our support for Ekiti State.
Fast forward to 2019 - He invited me to join the Ekiti State Executive Council to handle the interface with Development Partners on behalf of the State. It would only take Governor Fayemi to sway me to take a leave from an organisation I have worked for 18years. Of course, it was also an opportunity to satisfy my passion for my dear State of Ekiti.
When I was about making up my mind on the invitation, I called his amiable wife, Her Excellency Erelu Fayemi and her excitement and encouragement further assured me that I would be making the right choice by accepting the invitation.
Since then, Ekiti has been a perfect home for me - My time in Ekiti has been made worthwhile by the enabling environment I found myself. Governor Fayemi and the wife accepted me like their sister and I am eternally most grateful for this.
JKF is a leader that builds leadership in others. He does not micro manage but allows his team to thrive and express themselves. He is a stickler for what is right and an enabler that gives the platform for young people to flourish and showcase their ideas and thoughts towards the development of Ekiti.
He has nominated me for various assignments without prior discussion or notice. What a giant vote of confidence! I appreciate this and its always a challenge to me to raise the bar. I do not take this for granted.
Let me offer some prayers for a Boss like no other on this special day by saying the Lord will take you to that throne of Grace, He will continually cause His face to shine upon you.
The Lord will orchestrate your path to your desired and destined place.
The Lord shall bless you and your family especially your wife, children and your adopted children like me and so many of us out there praying and rooting for you.
Wishing you good health and all the best in life, I pray that the coming years shall be full of joy, success, and plenty of good memories.
Happy 56th Birthday
Long live YE
Dr John Kayode Fayemi CON
