EKITI DEPUTY GOVERNOR HAILS FAYEMI AT 56

The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, has congratulated Governor Kayode Fayemi on his 56th birthday.

The Deputy Governor described Fayemi as a worthy leader with uncommon passion for the development of the state.

Egbeyemi in a congratulatory message signed by the Special Assistant (Media) to the Deputy Governor, Odunayo Ogunmola,also described the Governor as a visionary leader who has made the state a model of good governance for other states to emulate in Nigeria.

The Deputy Governor said Dr. Fayemi's 56th birthday offers another opportunity to rededicate himself to the service of the people of the state who gave him a popular mandate in the 2018 governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He noted that the Governor had dedicated his earlier years to the cause of the common man through his involvement in human rights activism, pro-democracy agitations, clamour for restoration of democracy in Nigeria and other African countries.

Egbeyemi said the Governor's foray into politics has given him a wider scope to articulate his ideals and execute his vision for the development of Ekiti which has received national, continental and global awareness as a centre of good governance and and purposeful leadership in Nigeria.

He said: "I want to congratulate my boss, our leader, our Governor, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, on this auspicious occasion of his 56th birthday. We thank God for sparing his life to witness another year in good health and to continue his selfless service to his beloved Ekiti State.

"Dr. Fayemi is a rare gem, he is a quintessential leader, an uncommon servant of the people and a governor with an uncommon passion for the development and uplift of Ekiti State, the Land of Honour.

"He has used his goodwill and connections to attract investment to Ekiti State in an unprecedented manner. The entire landscape is witnessing development in terms of investment and projects (ongoing and completed) to the benefit of our people.

"My admonition to the people of Ekiti State on this occasion of Mr. Governor's birthday is to continue to pray for him for good health, long life and wisdom for our state to continue to benefit from his Midas touch.

"I am proud and glad to be part of this visionary administration led by our iconic Governor which is determined to take Ekiti State to the glorious harbour of development. I thank the Governor for the privilege and I will continue to justify the confidence deposed in me to be found worthy to be his Deputy.
