A bill seeking to establish A Federal University of Health and Medical Science has scaled through first reading on the floor of the Nigerian Senate.

The bill which was sponsored by Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele representing Ekiti Central titled” Federal University of Health and Medical Science, Iyin , Ekiti State.

The institution will give platform for the training of medical personnel across the country.

It is also believe that the new institution when passed into law will bridge the gap of health and medical challenges in Nigeria and beyond.
