
The first Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, has donated the sum of N100,000 to all 16 Local Governments to assist them in solving the problem of procurement of passport photographs and other logistics to help the smooth running of the exercise.
Yesterday, Hon. Monisade Afuye, the State Women Leader was at the North Senatorial district with her team to meet all the women leaders to deliver the funds and the goodwill message from the First Lady.
The Women leaders from all the wards were appreciated for their unity, strong commitment, loyalty and hard work towards the success of the Party.
Hon. Monisade urged the Women leaders to continue to work for the success of the Party and that they will be rewarded accordingly.
She said: "Nothing can be achieved without love and loyalty. No first Lady has ever been committed to the welfare of women like Erelu Bisi Fayemi who is always on her toes to attend to the needs of women. Erelu Fayemi has raised fortunes to take care of women in the areas of health, care of the elderly with monthly food, provision for widows and her care for young girls".
Hon. Remi Ajayi Barbinghton, also advised the women leaders to be steadfast and honest in what they are doing. She said the first lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi is a rare mother. She narrated her experience in politics which has led to a success story today because of her loyalty and endurance.
Hon. Caro, the Vice State Women leader, Hon. Tola Ajayi Odoko, SSA Women Advocacy and Hon. Comfort Abejide, SA Fist Lady Office also advised the women leaders to be focused as they are also the leaders of the women in their respective wards and that they must not lead the women astray.
In their response, the Women leaders appreciated Erelu Bisi Fayemi for her love and care for women, the experience they never had from her predecessors.
The Women leaders prayed for Erelu and the Success of this administration. They also used the opportunity to appreciate His Excellency Governor Kayode Fayemi for all the laudable projects in all the 16 Local Government Areas.
All the women leaders pledged their support even more than before to make sure our great Party succeeds.
